Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner

Why should you use Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner?

Sulfates are added to various products, such as soap, shampoos and conditioners, clothes detergents and toothpaste to create lather. We think that lather is a good thing, it makes us feel like we are really getting clean.

But is the ingredient that actually creates the lather causing more harm than good?

Possible side effects of sulfates include -
  • Aggravating acne
  • Weakens hair causing breakage
  • Dries scalp
  • Damages hair follicles causing hair loss
  • Reduces the time coloring will last
So why do companies still use sulfates in their products?

Sodium Laurel Sulfate is a chemical filler. This means that it is cheap for manufactuer's to use as an ingredient to fill up the bottle of their products.

Studies have found that Sodium Laurel Sulfate is linked to mouth ulcers, skin irritation and contact dermatitis in certain individuals.

Most manufactuers are not concerned with the effects that these ingredients have on their customers. They only want to create a product for the least amount of money, put it in a pretty bottle with a fancy name and sell it to the consumer at an overly inflated price.

Start improving your skin and your health by avoiding products with Sodium Laurel Sulfate.
